All praise is due to Allaah, Lord of the worlds and may the praise and peace of Allaah descend upon the Messenger of Allaah.
On Saturday 17 February 2007 (29th Muharram 1428 AH), a sitting was conducted at the house of Zulfiker Ibrahim Al-Atharee in al-Madeenah an-Nabawiyyah.
The objective of this sitting was to address the issue of establishing the Salafee Da’wah in the country of Nepal. More so, the emphasis was placed upon adopting a correct methodology in an environment where the majority of its population are inclined to worshipping idols, naturally making the Muslims who reside there a minority.
In light of this, the Muslims of Nepal are in urgent need of qualified callers and teachers of Islaam; more precisely, to take responsibility of building institutes of knowledge and Masaajid as well as contribute to other related projects in the land.
Consequently, it was agreed that we should seek to establish a Markaz and name it, ‘Markaz Quba Charitable Centre’, ultimately seeking to build this centre upon the foundations of Taqwa for Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala). Hence, the primary objective of Markaz Quba is to thereby propagate the Salafee Da’wah in a manner that exhibits careful management and organisation.
The following Brothers were in attendance:
- Abu ‘Abdullaah Mohammed Akhtar Chaudhry, from London, England – a graduate of the Faculty of Sharee’ah, Islaamic University of Madeenah;
